Operation B = for basing

Good day all! Its been a while since I have posted anything here or anywhere else! I hope you are doing fine? As I bet with many folks its been a weird couple of months. The covid situation gave me extra stress and work and gave very little time to work on my figures. For a while I was also separated from them, staying at my parent's place. Though I managed to start building a 1/32 forest which I soon hope to finish! Here a quick update, I haven't done entirely nothing! I finished the foot officer of my Chasseurs and build and painted as the cherry on the pie a mounted officer! Now the Chasseurs are good to go and its basing time! I wanna finish the trees up next and do a nice photo shoot or set up. I am still contemplating whats next..I have some figures ready to be painted on the shelve and some other wishes I wanna work out, still focusing on the 1809 campaign I will need lots more of Austrians but also need to speed up my french ;-)  These figures...

Latest edition to my Habsburg Army Hungarian Grenadiers IR 37 Weidenfeld

These are the eight figures I've painted recently, I had two others already painted but based them horizontally...It could not change that without breaking the figures so I just kept them like that and did the others vertical since it results in a better formation. And the conversion of the flag bearer carrying the  Ordinärfahne (Pattern 1806)  I am pleased with the end result and think that a flag really adds to the unit! So more flags to come in the future!  And some small wooden fences I've made :-)  And off they march! I painted these with the intention of being Hungarian Grenadiers of IR. 34 Davidovich but they have silver buttons and I gave mine yellow or gold/copper buttons...So now they will be IR 37 Weidenfeld.

Catch of the day!

Somehow I never share purchases..Whether online or offline, whether new or second hand...Well today was a good day! After an appointment/meeting, I went for the first time to a local toy/hobby (quite messy and dusty..This is where you find the treasures!) store from which I knew they have 1/32 figures from HaT and most likely other manufacturers. When I got in and saw the shelves my hearth started going faster! Yes! One of my best wishes was there! The Italeri 1/32 French Infantry set! It was my wildest hope before I entered but very unlikely to find this set produced in 2008 that has been deadstock for many years! I sadly only started buying them after they went deadstock. And here it was on the shelve waiting..! Sadly it was the only one left but still thought such a small chance! However, whenever I can and see them I buy these set...No excuses! 18,99 euro's was a very fair price! :D This made my day! This box made my hearth flip over..Therefor it was not ha...

ITALERI 1/32 NAPOLEONIC AUSTRIANS

Image
YES! This week I managed to finish a long-term project. The Italeri Napoleonic Austrians that I had started with early spring this year. Loads of school work and other projects made it take so long...In between I painted the Wurtemberg Jagers, in the summer I got some 2nd hand HaT Chasseurs that I started painting and on some very warm summer days I started converting HaT's avant-garde into Austrian Jagers 1809. I only started painting these Jagers recently so they will follow very soon! However, I am drifting off, here they are...I am happy they are done...I decided at some point when I had painted already most of them to add green stuff moustaches to some figures. It did them well, so I decided to do it with all of them. Also, I started using a different method for painting the faces which I find effective and appealing, the moustaches give the figures more character... Both Grenadiers and Fusiliers with red turnbacks are painted as Infantry of the Emperors First Regiment In...
