Special post for Rahway -Closer look at HaT 1/32 Austrian Grenadiers SYW-assembled

Image
Since I saw Rahway's question on the PMCD forum I thought via this way, some quick images I've taken with my I-phone of the Grenadiers assembled, next to Prussian Musketeers and the painted test shots of the Austrian Musketeers. I will fill up some gaps that remain on the figures, and spray paint them and start painting...I have plenty of work to do ;-)) The figures are quite friendly and easy to glue. In some cases, I need to cut down the pin on the body because it was too long. The figure loading his musket is also a bit more of a hassle but still very doable! I think the figures are very clever engineered, the separate parts pay off to the sculpting of the figures, no flash or anything I think these figures are the best I have seen from HaT so far!  I just love this sun-yellow colour!  They are grenadiers so slightly taller :-)

My old summer love back on the workbench!

Last summer (2018) by the end of August I started these figures! Now I can finally pick up the work to continue and finish these beautiful and fun sculpted HaT figures :-) there are some more firing and loading poses to follow..After that I wan't to start working on my Italeri French and Austrian 1/32 figures! :-) Enjoy!   These pride Chasseurs are ready to be based!  Vive l'Empereur!  Meet Francois du Pierre, the fierce and young sergeant of the pelaton! ;-)) Erwin und Friedrich quietly sneak away in the back, realising they don't stand a chance against this battle-hardened Frenchmen ;-) To be continued!

Catch of the day!

Somehow I never share purchases..Whether online or offline, whether new or second hand...Well today was a good day! After an appointment/meeting, I went for the first time to a local toy/hobby (quite messy and dusty..This is where you find the treasures!) store from which I knew they have 1/32 figures from HaT and most likely other manufacturers. When I got in and saw the shelves my hearth started going faster! Yes! One of my best wishes was there! The Italeri 1/32 French Infantry set! It was my wildest hope before I entered but very unlikely to find this set produced in 2008 that has been deadstock for many years! I sadly only started buying them after they went deadstock. And here it was on the shelve waiting..! Sadly it was the only one left but still thought such a small chance! However, whenever I can and see them I buy these set...No excuses! 18,99 euro's was a very fair price! :D This made my day! This box made my hearth flip over..Therefor it was not ha

HAT 1/32 SYW Austrian Musketeers test sprue finished!

I painted the test sprues also as Musketeers of the Sachsen Gotha Regiment (Austrian Netherlands) so they can go with the prototypes I painted about a year ago. I've been closely in touch with HaT and they worked hard to adjust the problems (flaws) that some of these figures have, they are restored and I am confident these figures will be outstanding when they hit the stores! Today I finished these figures and this same day I received the Grenadier test sprues that do not have any problems and looks better than most 1/32 sets I have seen! Now I cannot wait for the 1/32 NAPOLEONICS to hopefully soon be made again!  Angriff! Both test sprues and prototypes! (Scenery are some fun dye projects by me, I am still learning ;-) )  Complete test sprue painted!  Complete test sprue painted, rearview.      The figure in the middle is my all-time favourite! It is well sculpted, neat and a nice pose! My  compliments to HaT! Thanks again HaT for
